Saturday

The weekend is finally here!! Unfortunately, Brenda has to work today and Brad has to work tonight (he works part time at the Keg) and poor Kevin is at his Mom's this weekend. But what about Paul? Paul gets to work today too-he gets to go shopping and clean the house. But I'm sure I will work in a break or 2 :)

We went and saw the new Bond movie last night-Casino Royale. It was, in my opinion, the best Bond movie yet. Daniel Craig was an excellent James Bond and I hope to see more Bond movies with him as 007. Brenda was not quite as enthusiastic about the movie, but she did enjoy it too. If you dont see it at the theatre, I would definately suggest renting it when it come out on video.

Ya, definitely the best one ever. We NEVER go to movies anymore because there's always some loser behind us talking though out the entire thing. My dentist gave us tix because I pay his rest with all the work I have done and we went to see it. I loved it!

Vacuuming not withstanding, have as good a day as possible under the circumstances. Cleaning... ugh...

Yup - I managed to sneak out and see it as well. Best opening of a movie since the start of the original Raiders of the Lost Ark!

Paul - let me know what you think of Arrested Development. Give it 3 or 4 episodes before you make up your mind.

AD is fun, but it's no Deadwood, which is the best TV show ever made, IMHO.

Doug...its funny you mention 'some loser behind you talking' because that is just what happened. 4 kids Brad's age decided they wanted to chat during the movie. Brenda set them straight :)

Haven't been to 1 this year

Rachelle's pretty good at letting the talkers know that she's not happy. It usually starts with a harsh glare, then moves to a shhhshshshsh sound, then often ends with her standing up, turning around and saying in a loud enough voice for everyone to hear, "Shut the f#$% up, a$$h013!!

Well since you mentioned Deadwood (which I have yet to see) my favourite series these days would have to be the new Battlestar Galactica. I know, I know...its sci fi but it is an excellent show and very little like the original series. If you are even remotely interested, give it a chance. You may like it. I am watching AD tonight-should be good. Ted does have a good sense of humor. I mean, he likes Monty Python and the Holy Grail, so it cant be that bad, can it?

Yes, this 'direct approach' seems to do the trick. But then I spend the rest of the movie realizing I should just rent DVDs! But that new Bond - wwwhooooiiieee. Almost enough to make me forget all the chattikins behind us. Almost.

Also, the language I use when addressing the chattikins isn't quite as colourful as my husband would have you believe. Always the kidder that one..

Warning to Heather about the "new" Battlestar Gallactica - Starbuck is now a woman and Appollo is over 50...I was sooo disappointed!

Starbuck wasn't a woman last time?
